Silver Jubilee Celebration of the visit of His Holiness Pope John Paul II to the Syro – Malankara Catholic Church

The Syro – Malankara Catholic Church celebrated 25th anniversary of the historical visit of  his Holiness Pope John Paul II on8 February 1986.The Celebrations started with the flag hosting  by His Excellency Most. Rev. Thomas Mar Anthonios OIC. There was Eucharistic adoration led by His Excellency Most Rev. Samuel Mar Irenios at 3 pm .It was followed by Holy Qurbono celebrated by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos. Bishops  and priests concelebrated in the Holy Qurbono. The Celebrations concluded with the message by His Beatitude and the apostolic blessing. Religious and faithful participated in the celebrations.

HIS BEATITUDE MORAN MOR BASELIOS CLEEMIS CATHOLICOS, THE FATHER AND HEAD OF THE SYRO-MALANKARA CATHOLIC CHURCH RECEIVED THE GLOBAL EXCELLENCE AWARD FROM HIS HIGHNESS GOWARI LAKSHMI BAI. TH IS AWARD IS INSTITUTED BY KERALA KALA KENDRA FOR THE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE INTEGRAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOCIETY.
