Date:

Thiruvananthapuram: The Schola Benedictio school blessing ceremony and the celebration of Excelencia 2K24 took place at Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya on June 19th. His Beatitude Major Archbishop Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos presided over the blessing ceremony, marking a meaningful moment of grace and dedication for the school community.

The term “Schola Benedictio” can be interpreted as the “School of Blessing,” signifying a place where divine blessings are invoked to promote an environment of spiritual and academic excellence. This ceremony underscores the school’s commitment to nurturing both the spiritual and educational development of its students.

Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya, established on June 3, 2002, by the late Major Archbishop and Catholicos His Beatitude Moran Mor Cyril Baselios, is managed by the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum. For the past 90 plus years, the Major Archdiocese has been committed to providing quality education, reaching out to all sections of society, and nurturing higher-order thinking skills such as critical and analytical thinking.

Excelencia 2K24 celebrated the outstanding achievements of students in the 2023-2024 Board Examinations. His Beatitude Cardinal Cleemis graced the occasion with his inspiring presence, making the event memorable for all attendees. The Principal, Rev. Fr. Karikkal Chacko Vincent, and the Bursar, Rev. Fr. Koshy Chirakkarottu, played key roles in organising the event.

The Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum’s dedication to education has been evident through its numerous institutions, including Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya (CBSE), which received CBSE affiliation on April 1, 2003. The school offers admission to Science and Humanities groups for the +2 Course (AISSCE) since January 22, 2007.

The archdiocese’s goal in education has always been to offer more than the ordinary, providing value-based education that fosters critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, and application. This commitment is reflected in the achievements of the students and the holistic development they receive.

Congratulations to all the students for their remarkable achievements. The celebration reflects the ongoing commitment of the Major Archdiocese to fostering educational excellence and holistic development in its students. The community looks forward to many more achievements and celebrations in the future, continuing the legacy of quality education and spiritual growth.
