Rev.Fr. Zacharias Kottayil Passed away

Rev. Fr. Zacharias Kottayil, one of the senior priests of the eparchy of Bathery in the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, was called to eternal rest at the age of 73. He was ordained a priest in 1963. He had served as the parish priest of Karuvarkund, Edakkara, Sanjose Villa, Bathery, Noojibalthila, Kadaba, Thirumeni and Kelakom parishes. He also served as the Spiritual Father of Gurukulam Minor Seminary, Bathery from 1998 to 2010. The funeral ceremony will be held at St. Antony’s Malankara Catholic Church, Kalampala on Thursday 09 June 2011. His beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos will preside over the funeral ceremony.
