Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos appointed Rt. Rev. Msgr Geevarghese Mannikkarot Corepiscopa as the Director of the Catholicate Centre. He took charge on May 4, 2016.
On completion of the term of the congregation of the Sisters of the Imitation of Christ (SIC), Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos appointed Reverend Sisters from the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary for various apostolic services at the Catholicate Centre. Rev. Sr Mercy Francis D.M (Punjab Province), Rev. Sr Flower Maria D.M (Chandha Province), Rev. Sr Caroline D.M (Bathery Province) took charge of various ministries in the Curia.
After five years of dedicated services at the Catholicate Centre, the Bethany sisters (Rev. Sr Santhi SIC (Tiruvalla), Rev. Sr Ivania SIC (Muvattupuzha), Rev. Sr Savitha SIC (Bathery)) have gone back to their respective provinces. A farewell get together was conducted in the presence of His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos and His Excellency Most Rev. Thomas Mar Anthonios, the Curia Bishop, at the Catholicate Centre.

Rev Msgr G. Mannikkarot /Congratulations and Very best wishes from “Virginia” from NY on your new assignment. (You met my family at the airport 😉 and at Malankara church functions many times especially during the lifetime of our friend of loving memory, Moran Mor Cyril Baselios. (Fr Cyril Malancharuvil, OIC). As I watch all the recent accolades, I know and remember where it all began. I remember the very first contact to the DRVC by “Fr. Cyril to our chancellor and Bishop McGann, back in the early 80’s” …. so as you begin this new work of yours, please don’t forget ALL the predecessors. It will be ten years in January for my favorite one!. God Bless You Always. Remember, always arrive early to the airport when meeting “the boss”, or some local “gal” may again beat you to it. Oh, how that day at LaGuardia as he arrived from Chicago, evokes so much good humor. If I ever took that route post 2001 to the luggage area, I would have been arrested. Thank you for giving me that fun memory with my dear and never to be forgotten by me, friend! Love doesn’t go away at death but always remains in the recesses of our heart as a gift from God!
