Mother Vijaya DM Called to Eternal Rest

Very Rev. Mother Vijaya DM, (56) the Provincial Superior of the St. Joseph’s Province of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary was called to eternal rest on 29 October 2011. She was under treatment at Velloor Hospital. Mother Vijaya born of Mr. Cheriyan and Late Tresiamma, Pulickal family, Thodanal, Palai and joined the congregation in 1970. Among her brothers and sisters, Rev. Fr. Thomas Pulickal (Diocese of Vijaywada) and Rev. Sr. Molly Pulickal (St. Ann’s Congregation) are also serving the Church. She had completed her higher studies in Sociology and Theology. It is for the third term he has been serving as the provincial superior of the Mathandom Province.

The burial service will take place at the Convent Cemetery of the DM Provincial House, Marthandom on Tuesday 1 November, 2011. His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos will officiate the service. The Syro-Malankara Catholic Church extends the prayerful condolence to the Pulickal family, Palai and the Province of Marthandom.
