MCYM Kadambanad Ecclesiastical District Inaugurates New Office Bearers for 2024-25

Kadambanad, 28th January, 2024: The Malankara Catholic Youth Movement (MCYM) of the Kadambanad Ecclesiastical District has officially inaugurated its new office bearers for the year 2024-25. The oath-taking ceremony and leaders’ meet were held on Sunday, January 28, at the St. Mary’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church in Thuvayoor West.

The event began with a warm welcome by the Joint Secretary of the district, Mr. Subin, followed by an introductory message from the District Director, Rev. Fr. George Kottappuram. The District Vicar, Rev. Fr. Cheriyan, extended his blessings and addressed the gathering.

Rev. Fr. George Kottappuram administered the oath to the newly appointed office bearers, marking the beginning of their term. The event was chaired by the District President, Mr. Ebin Sajeev, under whose leadership the meeting discussed the upcoming six months’ activities and plans for the district.

Representatives from 16 units across the district participated, receiving guidance and instructions for their respective roles. The meeting was a platform for collaborative discussion and strategizing for the betterment of the community and the church.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the District Treasurer, Mr. Alexander, acknowledging the efforts and contributions of all those involved.

The MCYM Kadambanad Ecclesiastical District is set to embark on a year of dynamic activities and community service, guided by the newly sworn-in leaders. The movement continues to play a pivotal role in involving the youth in the church’s mission and activities, fostering a sense of responsibility and leadership among them.
