Baroda: The Malankara Catholic Youth Movement (MCYM) Baroda Unit kicked off its ambitious program, ELIORA 2024, in a vibrant ceremony after the Holy Qurbono. The event, rich in cultural and spiritual fervor, was inaugurated by Mr. Haresh Pan, MCYM President of the Eparchy of Gurgaon, along with Mrs. Ponnamma Yohannan, Diocesan Animator, and Fr. Devasia, Unit Director. They were joined by key figures from the Gurgaon Diocese, including Vice President Mr. Robin Mathew, Regional Animator Mrs. Jessy James, and local MCYM Unit animators Ms. Marykutty Varghese and Mr. Shibu Varghese. The ceremony also saw active participation from the Unit President, Mr. Abin Abraham.
The event commenced with a Bible reading session, followed by the traditional Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and the start of a new journey. A significant highlight was the Oath Taking Ceremony for the newly elected executives, marking their commitment to lead and inspire. This was succeeded by the unveiling of Karmapath, the path of action, which was elaborately explained to the attendees, outlining the planned activities and objectives for ELIORA 2024.
Mr. Haresh Pan delivered an inspiring speech, motivating the youth and their parents towards active participation and spiritual growth. He emphasized the importance of mission sharing, fostering a sense of community and purpose among the members.
In a gesture of appreciation and acknowledgment, former MCYM Animators Mr. Shiju Thomas and Mrs. Shainy James were honored with momentos by the chief guest, celebrating their contributions to the MCYM community.
The inauguration concluded on a high note with the MCYM Youth Anthem, echoing the collective aspirations and spirit of service among the youth. The Baroda unit of MCYM, under the new leadership, expressed its eagerness to achieve its goals and serve Lord Jesus Christ with renewed zeal.
