In a distinguished assembly at the International Syriac Theology Symposium, Malpan Jacob Thekeparambil was honoured with the esteemed title “Malpanaa Idhiya D’Hendo,” meaning “Distinguished Teacher of India.” This prestigious recognition was conferred upon him by Paurasthya Vidyapitham (POIRS), Vadavathoor, acknowledging his unparalleled contributions to Syriac studies and theology.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Hon. Vice Chancellor Aravindakumar, alongside eminent scholars including Dr. Fr. Pauly Maniyattu, Fr. Dr. Scaria Kaniyakonil, Fr. Dr. Thomas Kuzhuppil, and Fr. Dr. Francis Pitapalil. Also in attendance were faculties, professors, and students of the St. Ephrem Ecumenical Research Institute (SEERI), seminarians, and distinguished guests, including international delegates.
