Bathery: The Bathery Diocese MCYM successfully organised the LOTS (Leaders of Tomorrow) Leadership Training Camp on May 17-18, 2024, at the Pratheeksha Youth Centre. This event was a major step towards nurturing future leaders within the community.
Inaugural Ceremony
The camp began with a warm welcome by the General Secretary, Anjitha Reji. The inaugural session was presided over by MCYM Bathery Diocese President Mr. Abi Abraham, and officially inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. Joseph Mor Thomas, the Bishop of Bathery Diocese. The event also featured a keynote address by the Vicar General, Rev. Monsignor Sebastian Keeppallil Cor-Episcopo.
Leadership Training
The leadership training sessions were conducted by esteemed trainers, including life coach and author Antony Joy, and Anil Antony. Their sessions focused on developing essential leadership skills, motivating the youth, and providing practical insights into effective leadership.
Contributions and Addresses
The MCYM Bathery Diocese Director, Rev. Fr. Geevarghese Madathil, provided an introductory speech, setting the tone for the event. Additional speeches and best wishes were extended by Rev. Fr. Joseph Mathew Chelamparambath, the Assistant Director, and Mr. Christy Varghese, the Vice President of MCYM Sabha Thala.
Participation and Acknowledgements
The camp saw active participation from over 50 youth members, who engaged in various activities and sessions designed to enhance their leadership capabilities. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the Diocesan Treasurer, Justin Baby, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the camp, including the clergy, sisters, and youth leaders.
Organising Team
The success of the camp was ensured by the dedicated efforts of the MCYM Bathery Diocese animators, including Sister Nithya Therese DM, Dhanya Christhudas, Ebin, Anisto P. Marcos, Abin Shaji, Ashley Helen, Jibi Elias, Ajin Thomas, and Ambili Roy. Their commitment and teamwork were instrumental in organising and executing the event.
