About SEERI
The St. Ephrem Ecumenical Research Institute (SEERI) was established to fill a significant void in advanced Syriac studies in India. Despite the presence of seven Churches in India, each with its own training centre for clergy, there was no institute dedicated to the advanced teaching and learning of the Syriac language and heritage. SEERI aims to be a comprehensive teaching-learning centre as well as a research centre for scholars and students of Syriac literature, history, worship, and traditions.
SEERI houses manuscripts, documents, and source books necessary for in-depth study and research, making it an indispensable resource for those dedicated to Syriac heritage.
About MIMRO Syriac Institute
The MIMRO Syriac Institute, led by Fr. Saju K. Mathai Keeppanasseril, focuses on the Center for Languages, Liturgy, and Life Sciences, giving special importance to the learning, teaching, and research of the Syriac language. The institute is a vital hub for preserving and promoting the Syriac heritage through rigorous academic programs and research initiatives. Recently, MIMRO published “Comprehensive Tabular Syriac Grammar” by Fr. Saju K. Mathai Keeppanasseril, which was highlighted at the awards. This book is expected to be a valuable resource for all Syriac language enthusiasts.
