Canon Law Conference Started

A conference of the experts of canon law and office bearers of eparchial tribunals of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church began at Catholicate Centre, Pattom, Trivandrum on 1-2 March 2012. The meeting began with prayer led by His Excellency Most Rev. Samuel Mar Irenios (Auxiliary Bishop of Trivandrum).  Very Rev.Fr. John Kochuthundil (Rector, Malankara Seminary) welcomed the gathering. The meeting was inaugurated by His Excellency Most Rev. Thomas Koorilos (Archbishop of Tiruvalla).  His Excellency Most Rev. Thomas Mar Anthonios (Curia Bishop), His Excellency Most Rev. Samuel Mar Irenios (Auxiliary Bishop of Trivandrum), Rev. Priests and sisters  from various eparchies were present. The meeting concluded with the words of gratitude by Rev. Fr. Thomas Kuzhinapurath. The delegates will discuss on the theme “The Administration of Justice in the Syro-Malankara Major Archiepiscopal Church through the efficient functioning of Eparchial Tribunal”. Most Rev. Thomas Mar Anthonios , Rev. Dr. Mathew Kochupurackal,  Msgr. Dr. Varghese Thannickakuzhy, Rev Dr. Geevarghese Kuttiyil, Rev. Fr. Varughese Manackalett, Rev. Fr. George Thomas Kochuvilayil, Rev. Sr. Anila Christy will present papers on various subjects. The Conference will concluded on 2 March 2012 noon.
