The Syro Malankara Catholic Church, particularly the Bethany Navajeevan Province, is in mourning following the passing of Bro. Camillus Kadiamkunnil OIC. Bro. Camillus was called to the Lord on 14th May 2024, at the age of 90. His life and service are remembered with great respect and love by the entire community.
Life and Service of Bro. Camillus Kadiamkunnil
Bro. Camillus Kadiamkunnil was born on 3rd August 1933. He made his first profession on 15th May 1958 and his final profession on 15th May 1963, dedicating his life to the service of God and the Church. His long and devoted service to the Order of the Imitation of Christ (OIC) and the broader ecclesiastical community has left a lasting impact.
Funeral Arrangements
The funeral services for Bro. Camillus will be held at the Nalanchira Dayara Ashram, with the following schedule:
- 15th May 2024, Wednesday
- 07:00 PM: Evening Prayers and Visitation
- 16th May 2024, Thursday
- 06:00 AM: Morning Prayers, Holy Qurbana
- 07:00 PM: Evening Prayers
- 17th May 2024, Friday
- 06:00 AM: Morning Prayers, Holy Qurbana
- 08:30 AM: Final Farewell Service at Nalanchira Dayara Ashram
- 08:45 AM: Procession to the Cemetery
- 09:30 AM: Burial Ceremony at the Dayara Cemetery, officiated by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos, along with other esteemed bishops.
- 11:00 AM: Memorial Service and Holy Qurbana in memory of Bro. Camillus
