The Consecration

The words of consecration are spoken aloud, as is customary in all Eastern liturgies.

• At the conclusion of each act of consecration, the congregation responds with “Amen”, uniting themselves to the sacred action.
• Through these words, Christ becomes present in the offering of His Body and Blood.
