The Conclusion

The Qurbana concludes behind the veil:

The priest completes his communion and says the post-communion prayers.
He concludes by kissing the altar three times, a touching gesture of veneration for the altar, where Christ becomes present day by day.
The altar serves as a symbol of the heavenly altar to which the faithful aspire when this earthly life is over.
